Do you ever feel like you are over committed but they are all good things to be doing? I feel this way alot. I tend to over commit to make sure I am doing what He wants me to do. I realized after reading Day 3 that He doesn't always want us so busy with so many things but to focus on the things He wants us to be doing. A hard one to put into practice but one to definitely work on.
Wow is all I can say about the virtuous woman. I want to be like her!!! I know I am lacking in several areas but I am so glad that I have Proverbs 31 to remind me what I can and should be doing. Something to definitely strive towards!!!

Week Three: Day One and Two
Is anyone else having an "ah hah" moment when reading this week already? I really can't believe how much I really feel this book was written just for me and I know it speaks to others. First its sitting at His feet, then its how to have a positive attitude in everything we do, and now its Time Management.
How often do you feel like you don't have time to do things? Like a devotional or even tasks around the house. That is so me, when I know it is all about the choices I make with the time I have. Why does it take reading this book to wake me up to this fact? So thankful for His reminders however he chooses to show them to me!

Week Two: Day Four
I like this day cause it helps us figure out how to make things happen in our lives. How do we take what He is telling us and practice it in our lives. It is amazing to me how much I can let worry and anxiety creep into my life and attitude making me extremely negative. What better ways to make my life and attitude more positive than to do the scripture card or even praising Him in the middle of doing things that I am usually negative about.
This book sure is speaking to me and helping me feel that connection I was longing for and helping me work on me too.

Week Two: Day Three
What a learning process it is to be positive. I think I tend to think I can change all these bad habits on my own but I am continually learning that it is by His power that things happen. If I learn to lean on him while I am trying to be more positive in my daily life it will happen but trying to do it on my own I will fail and have. I haven't done so well on my "negative fast" but I know with Him it will happen I just have to keep on believing and trying.

Week Two: Day One and Two
So, I guess I haven't found that time I am suppose to set aside yet cause I keep getting behind but I am caught up again. I am loving Week Two already!
Day One: This is one area I struggle in constantly and sometimes don't even know I am being negative. I tend to see the bad in things rather than the positive. It isn't an easy change but if Abraham can leave everything he owns to follow the Lord with a positive attitude surely I can live my days here in my comfortable house with a positive attitude.
Day Two: I am taking the "fast" as a challenge to see how being positive can change my situations around me. Starting to focus on those things that are good, pure, and lovely is a great way to start. I also learned how negative my thoughts are just throughout my day and how that probably doesn't help in my relationships either. The prayer at the end sums up what I want my daily prayer to be. This week is totally speaking to me already.

Day Four and Five
I got behind so I did Day Four and Five today. Day Four reminded me how much God really does care about what is going on in our lives and what is troubling us. He knows the desires of our heart and longs to gives us our answer. I am reminded that if I go to Him with what is troubling me He will help me to change my focus and will always have an answer. Though that answer isn't always what we want to hear, I love the part where she says she prayers with her request but then follows it up with "But Father, if You have something better in mind, cancel my request." I so want that to be my prayer!
Day Five: This day is actually why I wanted to start this group or do a study. I wasn't feeling it anymore. Now I realize I am doing what I am suppose to get me back to the days when I felt Him all the time. Sad to say I was a kid back then but I have a desire for something more now! Crazy to think it took me all this time to realize how much He has been wanting this relationship to grow and I have been making excuses.

Day 3
Short but VERY sweet.... Today's Bible study took me to a calmer/peaceful place with God. He showed me that I am headed in the right direction and doing things that please him. From the friends that I've made, to the time I've started to spend with him, he told me that he can see my effort. The more time I spend with him the more I KNOW we will become intimate and have a forever lasting relationship with Him. I'm so excited about this journey, and can't wait to see what's in store for me and my family!

Day Two
Another eye opening day! I realized that no matter how busy things seem to be, I do have the time to "sit at His feet" I just chose not to. Isn't that sad? I also realized that spending time with Him could be done in many ways, like talking to Him as I do laundry or ask Him to be with us as we run errands. I guess I always thought the only way to really get closer to Him was to read the Bible and pray but now I am beginning to realize how much more I can do with Him!

Day One
Well, I just finished Day One and man did it already get me thinking. I loved the verses from Luke about Mary and Martha. I think I tend to be a bit like Martha worrying about everything around me instead of focusing on Him and His plan for my life or even just spending time in His presence. Wondering what you all thought....

Trying this out
Ok so I finally got on here. I am just testing to see how it all works. Does everyone have the books? Are we starting?
